...now my back aches and my room's a mess.

Ever since I read this post by Sarah I can't stop thinking about painting my own shoes, and after much procrastinating, today's the day!

Copied the flower shape from an old bag. I actually like the unshaded version better, and it's less of a hassle to paint; too bad I didn't realize that earlier enough.

That red spot on the right shoe was a failed specimen, so I'm quite relieved I didn't paint a brand new Converse. And acrylic paint is a bit of a pain to work with! It dries almost instantly so that I had to mix the colors over and over again. This is definitely not as easy as it looks, ha ha. Maybe a lazy ass like me should stick to fabric markers (they come in pastel colors too!).

don't worry, I like the shaded one better.. it makes the flowers "pop" out when viewed from afar.

I know about acrylics, they are sooo hard to please you, aren't they?

sigh. I wish I own those markers too.

ooohh... so very sweet! The fabric of the shoes are very important when it comes to absorption of acrylic! And yesh, quite a pain...
